Näin aloitat Piinan /Starting Jens Pind (JPL3)
Perusversisossa ketju muodostuu niin että rengas kulkee aina kolmen muun renkaan läpi.
Tärkeintä on pitää ketjun aloitus näpeissä ainakin kuudenteen renkaaseen. Piina voi olla oikea- tai vasenkätinen riippuen siitä kumminpäin aloituksen renkaat menevät. Ketju kiertyy itsestään, mutta kierre ei ole kovin tiukkaa.
Allaoleva on tehty 1mm langasta kolmosen veivillä, AR 3
In the basic Jens Pind chain one ring goes always through three other rings. The techique is not difficult once you get he beginning right. And you do, just do not let it slip from your fingers until the sixth ring!
The chain can be made either right or lefthanded depending on the alignment of the first rings.
This was made fom 1mm wire with 3mm mandrel. AR 3 for this chain.

| Laita ohut lanka ensimmäiseen renkaasen. Se helpottaa ketjun pitämistä näpeissä. Laita kaksi rengasta sisäkkäin ensimmäiseen renkaaseen. Katso että kaikki renkaat kääntyvät samansuuntaisesti. Start with one closed jumpring. Thread some thin wire in the first ring, it helps you to keep onto the chain. Put two rings in the beginning ring. See that all rings turn in the same direction. |

| Käännä aloitusrengas pystyyn. Näet kuvassa selvästi aukon johon seuraava rengas pujotetaan. Lift the first ring up as shown. Now you can see the opening where you´ll put the fourth rinng. |

| Laita neljäs rengas paikalleen. Tässä vaiheessa ei kannata päästää irti, muuten renkaiden järjestys menee sekaisin. Put the fourth rin in place. At this point do not drop the beginning. Keep onto it, otherwise you will lose the order of the rings. |

| Käännä enimmäinen ja neljäs rengas ylöspäin. Käännä myös toista rengasta hieman. Nyt näet viidennen renkaan paikan. Katso jo tässä vaiheessa, että renkaat asettuvat samansuuntaisesti. Turn the first and the fourth ring upwards. Lift also the second ring a little. Now you can easily see the place for your fifth ring |

| Tässä viidennen renkaan pujotuksen. Viidennen renkaan jälkeen ketju alkaa hahmottua, eikä enää mene sekaisin. Here the placement of the fith ring. After the fifth ring you start to see the pattern and the chain starts to be stable. |

| Sitten vain jatketaan lisäämällä renkaita, kiertämällä ylöspäin ja lisäämällä renkaita. Tarkista että kaikki renkaat asettuvat samansuuntaisesti kuin viereinen rengas. Then just keep adding rings, twisting upwards, adding rings. Make sure that all the rings in a row are aligned equally. |
